Hi everyone my name is Kate Sullivan! I’m so thrilled to be back on the pool deck with the Dolphins again! For those of you who may remember me, back in the summer of 2019 my older sister Kristine and I were coaches for the dolphins. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to come back and teach the sport I love!
I graduated from the University of Minnesota with my BS in Sociology of Law and I’m currently applying for law school. While at the University of Minnesota I was a D1 athlete on the University's swim and dive team. Thanks to covid I got the opportunity to be a part of this team for five seasons. I was a five year letter winner, B1G Ten finalist and had the opportunity to compete at the NCAA championships.
My love for swimming started when i was just six years old on the Deer Creek Dolphins pool deck. I followed in my older sister’s footsteps and wanted to give swimming a try. I instantly feel in love with the sport and soon was swimming year round competitively. If it wasn’t for the Deer Creek Dolphins I wouldn’t have found the one thing that truly gave my young life purpose. Swimming has shaped me into the person i am today and has taught me so many valuable life lessons!
I’m so blessed to be coaching again and I can’t wait to help the future generation of swimmers. I can’t wait to hopefully make a positive impact on the kids, helping them grow not only as swimmers but also as individuals. I’m so excited to have a super fun summer :) Go Dolphins!
Hi! I'm Isaac Didier and I'm so excited for my first summer as a Deer Creek coach. I swam on my high school swim team, Saint Thomas Aquinas, for four years where I was appointed as captain my junior and senior year. I went to state three times during my high school career and generated six top eight finishes.
Following the season, I'll be starting my sophomore year as a biomedical engineering major at Florida State University where I'm a member of Pi Kappa Alpha, chair of the IFC service committee, and a member of the biomedical engineering society,
I'm thrilled to help kids develop their swimming skills, refine their technique, and most importantly, have a good time! I can't wait to be back on the pool deck and get started!
Hello! My name is Annika Jones, and I am pumped to be back on the team with Deer Creek as a Coach for my second summer! I swam with Deer Creek for three summers, which gave me the opportunity to get to know some of the Deer Creek community. I also swam with OP waves and the St. James Academy High School swim team.
I currently attend the University of Kansas and am excited to begin nursing school in the fall! As a sophomore, I am a member of the honors program, pre-nursing club, and am part of Greek life as a Delta Delta Delta member.
I cannot wait to see returning faces as well as meet new ones! I am so grateful to be part of this team. I look forward to working with the kids to enhance their skills and to have another epic summer! Let’s go Dolphins!
Hi!
My name is Cate Jernigan! I am so excited to coach for Deer Creek this year. I was a competitive swimmer when I was younger, and then joined the Dolphins when I moved into the neighborhood. I swam for many years but ended up having too many conflicts with soccer. I kept swimming on my own time to help with my conditioning. I have lived in Deer Creek since 2nd grade and I am so excited to be a part of the swim community again!
I just graduated from Blue Valley North this May and plan on attending Missouri S&T to study elementary education and play soccer. I love working with kids!
I can't wait to meet new people through this experience and make a positive difference in helping your children improve their skills. It is going to be such a fun summer! Go Dolphins!!
